New Year's sparks a renewed sense of motivation and fresh beginnings. And while it’s easy to get swept away in the New Year, new goals hype, it’s incredibly important to take a moment to pause, reflect, and celebrate everything that’s been achieved this year.

First, we want to acknowledge YOU! We’re talking about all those early morning sweat sessions and all the times you showed up, even when it was the last thing you felt like doing.

You put in the time, the sweat, and SO.MANY.BURPEES! Celebrate it. Enjoy it. And give a big ClapClap to all Free Athletes who pumped out these impressive numbers!

Let’s also take a moment to look back on what Freeletics has brought to the table this past year to support Free Athletes around the world on their fitness journeys. Here are some of the standout highlights that we made happen:

The NEW Explosive Calisthenics Training Journey

Rooted in traditional calisthenics movements, the Explosive Calisthenics Training Journey harnesses body weight and gravity to develop strength and power. It’s the ultimate training experience if you’re looking for a new way to challenge your body.

Coach Day reminders to keep you on track

Motivation naturally comes and goes – and that’s totally normal! And it’s exactly why we introduced Coach Day reminders – to give you that gentle nudge toward movement when your mind says “no”, but you’ve got that Coach Day planned.

Be sure your notifications are turned on so you can get a nice little Coach pep talk in the morning and afternoon if you haven’t yet completed a workout.

Custom workouts got an upgrade

If you love to get creative with your workouts and build a routine all your own, this upgrade is truly a game-changer. With the latest enhancements, Free Athletes can now edit custom workouts directly – no duplication needed.

You can also add extra time to get into position for time-based exercises. Want to mix in running and sprinting? With the new ability to add distance-based exercises, we’ve got you covered – you can even set specific distances for moves like the Crab Walk!

Revamped points for custom workouts

Ok, we’ll admit it – the previous points for created workouts were a little disappointing. We listened to your feedback and, now, instead of earning 30 points, you’ll be awarded points based on the exercises and repetitions of the workout you create.

A new signature God workout, Eros

We introduced a new God workout that celebrates love in all its forms – including the love for yourself through movement. This full-body, intermediate-level workout unlocked a new challenge for Free Athletes to come back to time and time again.

The personal training guru, Coach+ pilot

You’ve got questions, Coach+ has answers. Initially launched as a pilot in English only, Coach+ introduced next-level personalization with a conversational AI that offers instant answers or guidance on all things wellness, nutrition, or fitness. Stay tuned as we roll it out in other languages!

Got remote with Apple Watch

This BIG Apple Watch x Freeletics update brought a whole new way to train, letting you control your workouts straight from your wrist. Like a remote for your phone, you can now get step-by-step instructions from your Coach, directly on your Apple Watch.

Got connected with external data integrations

Whether it’s a bike ride, hike, run, or yoga – you can now seamlessly track it all in the Freeletics App thanks to our third-party integrations with apps like Apple Health, Google Health Connect, and Strava. This big move brings us one step closer to building a smarter, more connected, and even more personalized training experience.

And that’s a wrap on Freeletics 2024!

It’s been a year of bold updates and upgrades, all aimed at making your fitness goals that much more attainable in the years to come.

And one small easter egg if you didn’t catch it, you can now see recommended Free Athletes to follow on the Discover tab in the app. This update makes it easier to connect with fellow Free Athletes for inspiration, motivation, and to strengthen your support network.
