Here’s a question for you all…What is your passion in life? What is your passion and are you living it? If the answer is “no” or “I don’t know”, then the next question is “why not?”
Having a passion is important. It’s what determines whether you lead an average life, or an awesome one. We are continuously told to follow our passion. But why is it that so little people do? So many seem to be stuck in mundane jobs. Living a life, they don’t really enjoy. With the constant thought that they were destined for more.
So what does it really mean to have a passion?
The problem is that often we think passion is something we are born with. That It will come to us naturally. Like talent. So if we haven’t found it yet, then we never will. If this sounds like you, then you couldn’t be more wrong.
A passion is something we develop. No, we are not born with it and is doesn’t just come to us naturally. Instead, we have to find it out for ourselves. Take sports and exercise as an example. Those who are passionate about it most likely started off not really enjoying it that much. But overtime they discovered how good it made them feel. They began to enjoy it. And that’s when it became their passion.
But your passion can be so much more than just enjoying something. Why not gain expertise? Become skilled at it? And not just sports. It can be anything: Cooking, writing, designing. Once you discover what it is, you can turn it into a lifestyle. Make it your job. Do it at least once a day and live a life that you actually want to. One that has meaning. One that you shape yourself.
Stop waiting for your passion to find you. It’s waiting to be found. So try something today that you’ve always wanted to. It might take a while to develop but remember, you’ve got all the time in the world.
